Not content with ruling the stage , Bookaboo decided to give Radio a bit of a try today! We've been at the
Magic FM studios this morning talking with none other than hugely popular Entertainment Reporter and friend to the stars,
Jamie Edwards. Jamie has interviewed hundreds of celebs such as Lily Allen, Madonna, Paul McCartney so it s…

I've been asked to give a live web chat on
ivillage.co.uk on
Tuesday 3rd November between 11 and 12, around Bookaboo and encouraging children to read. Both exciting, as it'll be interesting to hear questions and nerve wracking as its my first live webchat and I'll be tapping away furiously to avoid any Gordon/biscuit/mumsnet dauddling accusations!
Of course, I'll answer any questions from Bookaboo Grownups here at any time, but I thought you may like to know, particularly as they…

Bookaboo has cemented his superstar status by winning a BAFTA nomination no less!
It's a huge thumbs up to everyone who has worked so hard and believed in Bookaboo; from our committed film crew, the amazing celebrity guests who took part, Puppet Heap who designed and created the pup as well as the brilliant Marcus Clarke who puppeteers him.…

I've been growing pumpkins for the first time this year on my allotment. The aim is to have a lit path in my garden next Saturday for our Halloween Party. We started to design some lanterns today, Elvis & Lulu concentrated on some comical faces. I got a bit carried away and carved my favourite rockPup!! Hope you like it Lucy!!?? Just another 16 pu…

They had soaked the bathroom floor after bath football, and you may have mistaken the talc debris as a snow storm...but last night as we sat on my bed getting ready for a story my 4 yr old announced " A book a day or I won't sleep". Mmmm wonder who gave her that idea eh? Bookaboo your cheeky tactics are being copied!!!
True to her word after a story it was straight to sleep and not a peep till the morning!

If it hasn’t become abundantly clear from my first two blogs – I got just a wee bit nervous about the Bookaboo DVD launch. So much so, in the months leading up to it, I became an obsessed perfectionist and "ummed" and "ahhed" and consulted endless friends (well I hadn't got the hang of ning by then!) on the divisive and, more-contentious-than-Gordon-Brown's-favourite-biscuit issue - ie the Bookaboo great shades debate! Oh yes! This had me paralysed for at least 3 days! Should Bookaboo wear sungl…

I guess as this is my first ever blog, it's appropriate that it should be about my first ever Bookaboo D Day ....well DVD day to be more precise - the first Bookaboo DVD is finally out there! Sainsburys, ASDA, Morrisons, HMV, alot of the ‘onlines’ and of course our very own Bookashop are all stocking it. I’m really excited to see Bookaboo beyond the TV screen at last. Now those of you, not at home at 3 in the afternoon can enjoy our rock puppy superstar whenever you want, and even wherever you w…

I don't think I've ever felt more nervous trotting into ASDA in my life! Normally – I’m in and out, bags bulging with dinner and rather boring cleaning stuff, without a second glance. But not yesterday morning. Instead, I stepped gingerly down the crowded aisles of that great green lettered giant with quaking knees! Accompanied by the good folk from Abbey (my DVD distributors), I was there to see whether the little piece of plastic that we've sweated over for the past couple of months had actual…

Thanks for doing such a terrific job on The Cow that Laid an Egg – I thought Kym Marsh read the book beautifully. I notice that there are additional videos for almost every show other than 'The Cow...'. Any news when these will be posted?
